Beginning January 2026, Moldova’s communications regulator adopts a new name: ARCOM. The change reflects an expanded mission in electronic communications and postal services, regulatory oversight, innovation, and consumer protection.
On August 28, 2025, the Republic of Moldova adopted an amendment to Law No. 235/2011 on Accreditation and Conformity Assessment, recognizing CE-marked radio, electrical, and electronic equipment assessed by EU-notified bodies as compliant in Moldova. Starting February 28, 2026, these products will no longer require additional national conformity procedures, streamlining market access and aligning Moldova’s regulations more closely with the European Union framework.
