On 11 September 2025, the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) in Hong Kong announced updates to its radio equipment specifications. The following standards were published in August 2025:

• HKCA 1081, Issue 2 – Performance Specification for Radiocommunications Apparatus Operating in the 6 GHz Band for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)

• HKCA 1085, Issue 2 – Performance Specification for New Radio (NR) User Equipment

These updates reflect Hong Kong’s ongoing alignment with international developments in wireless technologies, particularly for Wi-Fi in the 6 GHz band and 5G NR devices.
