The Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) has published Ato N° 14.158 on October 1, 2025, introducing important updates to Brazil’s regulatory framework for restricted radiation radiocommunication equipment.
This new act amends:
Ato N° 14.448/2017, which sets the technical requirements for conformity assessment, and
Ato N° 237/2022, which defines the test procedures for conformity assessment.
The updates specifically cover requirements for:
Devices operating in millimeter-wave bands
Wireless access systems operating in the 5.150 to 5.350 MHz band
Audio, video, and other application transmission systems
Broadband wireless access systems for local area networks

The updates are currently in effect.
Compliance will become mandatory starting 6 April 2026.
