The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) is currently seeking stakeholder comments on the RSS-195, Issue 3 consultation, titled “Wireless Communication Service Equipment Operating in the Bands 2305-2320 MHz and 2345-2360 MHz.”
This standard outlines the certification requirements for Wireless Communication Service (WCS) equipment operating within the frequency bands 2305–2320 MHz and 2345–2360 MHz. Manufacturers, service providers, and other stakeholders are invited to provide input to ensure compliance with Canada’s regulatory framework and to support efficient spectrum utilization.
Scope: Applies to WCS equipment operating in the 2305–2320 MHz and 2345–2360 MHz bands.
Purpose: Establish certification requirements to ensure safe and compliant operation of wireless devices within these frequency bands.
Consultation Objective: Collect stakeholder feedback on the proposed standards to improve clarity, compliance procedures, and spectrum management practices.
