ENACOM has released Resolution 57/2026, introducing a refreshed regulatory framework for telecom equipment in Argentina. The update aims to simplify homologation procedures, align the country with international standards, and support the growing demand for modern communication technologies.
The RAMATEL registry is reorganized to streamline compliance and reduce administrative complexity. Current registrations remain valid for a transition period before adapting to the new framework.
The resolution establishes official registers for Certification Bodies and Testing Laboratories. Certification bodies will issue conformity certificates, while laboratories must meet strengthened accreditation requirements. This structure improves efficiency and increases technical reliability in equipment evaluation.
New registrations will no longer expire, reducing long‑term administrative burdens for manufacturers and importers.
Only telecom products registered in RAMATEL may be sold or distributed in Argentina. Online platforms must display the registration number clearly in each product listing.
Devices sharing similar technical characteristics may now be grouped into Product Families, allowing faster approval and reduced documentation.
The updated system becomes fully effective on September 1, 2026, giving companies time to adjust operations and documentation.
With Resolution 57/2026, Argentina moves toward a more agile, transparent, and modern telecom equipment approval system—benefiting industry actors and end users alike.
